Abacasino!
okay bear with me. Einstein goes to a casino with his explosive dice and magic roulette wheel to destroy a bunch of giant cards that give him poker chips which he uses to load his Abacas to use on slot machines.
This game is pretty much one big casino drug trip where you're constantly dying.
Absolutely nothing is explained in game purely because I'd rather play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom than do that so here's all the controls/mechanics/tips:
Controls:
- UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT: Move/select slot machine upgrade
- X: Throw dice/interact with slot machine
- O: Blast dice of the Roulette number
Your Abacas tells you of this information:
- Amount of red chips (from Club cards) that upgrade your character
- Amount of blue chips (from Spade cards) that upgrade your dice
- Amount of yellow chips (from Diamond cards) that upgrade your blasting
- Amount of grey chips (from Heart cards) that upgrade your chip collection
- Amount of dice you can currently throw
- Health
After filling your abacas with chips you get to use the slot machine and gain a dark chip at the end of that slot (With each dark chip you need less chips to fill the abacas again). Your goal is to fill the four chip slots of the abacas entirely with dark chips.
The amount of damage done to cards increases with any of the following:
- The card is the same color as the Roulette Wheel
- The card was hit by a blast
- You gained certain upgrades like "Increase Dice Damage" or "Increase Blast Damage"
Certain cards do certain things. Here's what you need to know:
- Cards 2-5 only slightly differentiate with movement and speed
- Cards 6-8 greatly differentiate with speed (8 is the fastest)
- Card 9 spawns a 4 and 5 card when defeated
- Card 10 spawns a 1, 2, 3, and 4 card when defeated
- Card J cannot be hurt by dice themself and must be blasted to be defeated
- Card Q increases or decreases its speed when facing (left or right) away or towards the card
- Card K dashes towards you when you throw a die
- Card A spawns a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 card when defeated
All cards scale their health by their card value and their speed over time.
Tips:
- You really should never not be throwing dice. You need to maximize how many dice you have on the board be able to deal more damage and to have better chances of getting good blast placements.
- You shouldn't be throwing dice AT the enemies. Throw your dice around them. Blast damage is incredibly powerful and they won't 'splode till you've let them land. The damage delt by a die going moch 10 and one sitting on the ground are the exact same.
- Think carefully about your slot upgrades. Many are objectively better than others and become unavailable the more dark chips of that upgrade you get.
- Make use of the Roulette wheel color. Later in the game it can be incredibly hard to do so, but a lot of your damage optimization can be done by leading cards to dice/throwing dice at cards/blasting cards when those cards' colors match the wheel.
- Collect chips! While keeping yourself safe, collect as many chips as you can, even if their far away (The "Decrease Chip Sliding" upgrade will very much help with that). Upgrades are necessary from keeping yourself at bay, so getting as many chips as you can early on is going to be a life-saver.
- This game is just a bunch of RNG. Try many runs not just for practice but to try for better luck. Your dice, cards, slot upgrades and chip sliding are all entirely determined by chance. So don't give up when you lose.
